At the end of June 2023, the BuildSkills Academy project kicked off with a high-energy, three-day launch event in Sofia, Bulgaria—setting the stage for a transformative journey

To create a pan-European framework and certification scheme that empowers the construction industry to navigate the “twin” transition—green and digital.

Seventeen partners from ten European countries have united around a shared mission:
During the kick-off, the consortium conducted a comprehensive review of the project proposal to ensure alignment across all teams. Key outcomes included:

• The establishment of clear working routines
• The development of a robust implementation and communication strategy
• In-depth discussions on work packages, deliverables, and expected impacts

This structured approach lays the foundation for long-term, cross-border impact in the sector.
