EQAVET Compliance Guide 

A major leap for quality in vocational training across Europe.

We’re proud to unveil a key milestone in the BuildSkills Academy project: the release of a comprehensive guide to EQAVET compliance. This guide sets a new benchmark for excellence in vocational education and training (VET) in the European building sector.

The EQAVET framework (European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training) is more than a standard—it’s a shared commitment to quality, transparency, and continuous improvement. For BuildSkills Academy (COVE BA), aligning with EQUAVET is essential to ensure that the BuildEnrichedSkills Methodology (BESM) meets the highest European standards.

The newly published guide is structured into four strategic pillars:

1. Understanding EQAVET
   A clear breakdown of EQAVET’s logic, indicators, and descriptors—ensuring all COVE BA partners and future VET providers speak the same quality language.
2. Self-Assessment
   A deep dive into local quality systems among founding partners. This honest evaluation lays the groundwork for a unified, scalable quality process.
3. Shared Mission
   Based on the self-assessment, a joint roadmap for EQAVET compliance was developed—turning insights into action and aligning all partners behind a common goal.
4. Implementation & Continuous Improvement
   Using the PDCA cycle (Plan–Do–Check–Act), the guide introduces a dynamic process for ongoing quality enhancement—keeping pace with evolving educational needs.

This guide is more than a document—it’s a blueprint for transformation. By embedding EQAVET into the DNA of COVE BA, we’re not only ensuring quality today—we’re building a future-ready ecosystem for VET in construction.
